An Eye for Art, A Heart for History Exhibit Opens at the Outer Banks History Center

The Outer Banks History Center in partnership with the Dare County Arts Council launches its 25th anniversary with an exciting new exhibit, An Eye for Art, A Heart for History, on display in the Outer Banks History Center Gallery March 1 through December 31, 2014.  The exhibit features 45 works of art by 24 artists who have expressed their appreciation of Outer Banks history and heritage in a vast array of artistic modes and media.

The exhibit debuts on Friday, February 28th at the opening reception hosted by the Friends of the Outer Banks History Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Voting for the People's Choice Award is from 5:30 - 6:30 with the winners announced at 7:00.  Light refreshments.

This event is free and open to the public so come out to meet and greet the artists, enter your vote for the People’s Choice Award, congratulate the award winners, and experience the rich artistic interpretations showcasing the area’s varied and vibrant history.
